Submissions

Ready to share your masterpiece with the world? We publish books on the Western United States, including national parks, wildlife, wildflowers, and various geographical regions (for example, the San Rafael Swell in Utah). We will consider any topic, but be advised that we rarely consider fiction or poetry. We publish ebooks as well as standard books. Our topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Photography
  • Popular history
  • Children's educational (nature, history)
  • Guidebooks
  • Regional essays
We prefer you first email a short description of your work to info@yellowcatbooks.com. If you don't hear back within two weeks, please feel free to resend. We will get back to you quickly.

If we are interested, we will then ask you to send us a more detailed description of your book idea and an explanation of what makes your book unique; a sample table of contents; sample chapters and copies of accompanying art/images (if applicable); and your contact information. Photographers, if you wish to send photos with your submission, please limit your submission to 3 photos by email.

If you cannot send your work by email, we will accept hardcopy submissions. Please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your proposal materials returned to you. Also note that unsolicited submissions of photography will not be accepted and will not be returned.
