Danger: Quicksand!

Move
No Fear!
  • No Fear!

Don't let your fear of quicksand keep you from trekking off the trail.

  • Buzz Off!

Although circling buzzards are a good sign that you are probably stumbling into some kind of trouble, remember that with sound judgement and good planning you can overcome any kind of sticky situation...

  • No Worries!

The first thing to remember is to not panic. Here our model uses universal sign language, saying "No worries!". Denial is a sure-fire method to alleviate panic.

  • C'mon in boys...

Humor is also a good antidote to fear. Here, our model is saying "Come on in boys, the mud is fine!". This immediately puts other members of the party at ease.

  • Desert Hymn

Singing is another way to offset panic. Here our model belts out his own rendition of "On Christ, The Solid Rock I Stand, All Other Ground is Sinking Sand".

  • Gettin' to Work...

In Step 2, the relaxed model now begins the process of protracting himself from the jaws of death.

  • Uh-oh

Despite great planning and preparation, things don't always pan out well. Once things go south, however, take comfort in knowing that death by mud is quite painless and rather quick.

  • The Underworld

Thankfully, our model was able to get in one last hymn before his departure to the underworld, a solid reminder that music has a dual purpose.

  • Dig Here

A white cap with some identifying mark greatly helps in the location and identification of your now useless body.

"Death," said great western writer Louis L'Amour, "is only the anteroom to the next life."
